Better behaviour helps children’s mindset to be focused and ready to learn. In keeping with this, St Dominic’s staff have all received refresher training in Child Protection and Restorative Approaches in line with the Scottish Government’s Getting it Right for Every Child and supports our Rights Respecting School Gold Status. For example, did you know your child has a right to a good night’s sleep and breakfast and this may be a cause for concern if a pattern is identified. Did you also know asking your child ‘can you tell me what was happening before that’ is a more helpful approach to ‘why did you do that’.
