Playground Charter

Our playground toys are paid for by family donations and school fundraising; as well as items sourced and collected by staff in their personal time.

We want all the children to have a positive playground experience and have tried our best to cater to all types of play, from ball games to a variety of small word. This links to articles:

31 – we have the right to play and rest
12 – we have the right to give our opinion, and for adults to listen and take it seriously.
29 – at school we should learn to live peacefully and respect other people.
19 – we have the right to be protected from being hurt and mistreated, in body or mind.

All we ask is that the children simply show kindness and respect. Kindness to one another and staff, which would eliminate most playground issues. Respecting the toys by using them for what they are intended for and to help tidy up; will only help ensure the toys last for as long as possible.

Please read, discuss and ensure your child understands the St Dominic’s RCPS Playground Charter. If you have more than one child, you may complete this as a family.
